Terms of service

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Rovyo you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These Terms form a binding contract between you and Rovyo Technologies.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Rovyo. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account, including keeping your phone number current and your device secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Rovyo to track someone without their knowledge and consent.
• Use Rovyo for any unlawful purpose, including stalking or harassment.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source data.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service without our written consent.
• Use Rovyo in safety-critical contexts where its failure would put life at risk.

5. Pricing and payments

Rovyo is free for rides with 1–2 riders and unlimited distance. Rovyo Pass is a one-time purchase calculated at ride creation, paid in local currency via Stripe (worldwide) or Razorpay (India). Refunds are handled per our refund policy: full refund if the ride is cancelled before "Go Live"; case-by-case otherwise.

6. Location services

Rovyo requires location permission to function. You can revoke permission at any time via your device settings, which will prevent rides from running. We do not sell location data.

7. SOS feature

The in-app SOS sends your location to your ride members and your configured emergency contact. It is not a substitute for emergency services. Always call your local emergency number when in danger.

8. Intellectual property

Rovyo, the wordmark, and the symbol are trademarks of Rovyo Technologies. The app's source code, designs, and content are protected by copyright. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the app in accordance with these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Rovyo is provided "as is." We do not warrant uninterrupted service, perfect map data, or precise GPS accuracy. GPS can be wrong by tens of metres under bridges, in tunnels, or in urban canyons.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rovyo's aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in-app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Rovyo Technologies is incorporated, except as required by mandatory local law. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
